JULY... hello Olympics

Wishing I had tickets now ... collecting stickers instead - how sad is that?  I declined when I had the opportunity, deciding to dog sit instead.  Never mind, I will just have to be glued to the TV, with craft on my knee.  Well done if you got tickets - ENJOY x

June Complete

Well what a month June was.  I EVENTUALLY managed to see the Olympic torch, but not on my first outing ... it went by in a car !!!!! what a swiz :(  The following week it was 20 miles away, and their local council were better at advertising exactly what part of the route wasn't in convoy mode and could be seen.  Glad I made the effort - it's not gonna happen again in my lifetime.
TURNER, MONET & TWOMBLY at the TATE Liverpool.  We were invited to this new exhibition of their later works ... not keen on Twombly, but a great night out if you get the opportunity.
Today we have tried to garden and got rained off three times with torrential bursts ... WHERE OH WHERE IS OUR SUMMER ??????

JUBILEE JUNE

Jubilee is just around the corner and the garden is in full bloom...at least I can see the flowers now I've spent days gardening, getting rid of the weeds.  Why do they always grow bigger than everything else??? Well we have a fancy dress party to attend on the Queens birthday - the theme is kings and queens - inspired by our holiday, Tim is going as Elvis ... after all he is the KING (providing the wig turns up in the post tomorrow).  Enjoy your celebrations, whatever you are doing xx

Well we had a fabulous holiday...although we could do with another one to recover from it.  It was far too hot, but managed to bring some of the sunshine back with us to share with everyone, albeit a good 10 degrees cooler than New Orleans :)

Well just about... just to fill in today's.  At least the weather is brighter - something to bear in mind when I prepare backgrounds ... I think I may have 'forecast' all the rain :(   Summery, bright colours from now on
