Well at least I'm starting the year off in advance. Let's hope I can keep it up as I got behind in December 2012 !!!! I have left the snowballs un-numbered as some days I will have more to write than others and will use the larger balls :)

Well I've been soooooo busy that I've just got around to putting my pages together...better late than never. I am intending starting January's later so that 2013 sets off on the right note :)

Come On England

In celebration of England's forthcoming matches, I decided to do something completely different for my November pages, instead of the usual bonfire, fireworks etc.  Truth is, I had a lovely Lily of the Valley stamp I wanted to use and it coincided nicely with this month.  We won't be watching (not that I do anyway) the matches, as we will be sunning ourselves in Egypt :)   hence the early post.  It's 36 degrees at the moment and I can't wait.  Happy November everyone, and thanks for stopping by xxxx

I can speak from first hand experience how fabulous the Slimming World Plan is.  It's not dieting and going hungry, it's food optimising.  Re-educating ourselves into eating the right kind of foods and how we prepare them.  It doesn't stop you eating chocolate or other vices that may be your weakness, you just find that by eating properly, you don't want them as often or as much of them because you're full.    Christine :)

OCTOBER 'ORROR

Well I finally started this background on Saturday, thinking I'd grab five minutes getting messy before I jumped in the shower ... it wasn't to be :(  Just as I started I realised it was raining so ran out to get the 2 loads in (that were just about dry) only for the washing line to snap and it all end up getting wet and dirty :(   It ended up finishing off what had been a horrible weekend.  Finally finished it on Tuesday.  I don't know about anyone else, but I seem to be rushing to do them each month now as there is always something else demanding my attention, so the pleasure is going out of it a little.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Even though it's still August I normally have my months calendar page well under way, if not finished, at the beginning of the previous month.  Whilst I have a couple of days to spare, I've never cut it so fine, so perhaps next months will be late ???
Anyway a couple of weeks ago I decided that I could do a blackboard/chalkboard for the background, which also covered the ink spray that had bled through the Moleskine page from last month.  (Moleskine watercolour books don't bleed if you are using sprays).  As I've started in this journal I will have to continue with acrylic backgrounds so I get no more bleeds.  I was also bought as part of a birthday prezzie last month, a Lily of the Valley schoolboy, and this fits in just nicely.  I'm sticking with the same format and incorporating at least one character each page - that way I get to use stamps that haven't had an airing, and may not get another opportunity.
Whilst the pages are ready, we go on holiday on the 1st of September, so depending on if Kate has put her link up quickly, it may be the middle of the month before I put it on her blog, but you can tell from today's date that I was ready on time ... HONEST  :)  ... October may be a different story - awaiting inspiration for a theme :(

Had an amazing day at the Olympics and was really glad we had managed to get tickets and be a part of the whole experience.  Today was my birthday and what a let down that has been - felt depressed most of the day - perhaps after the hype of yesterday ?  I could do with skipping birthdays from now on !!!

ROCK ON SUMMER

I started these pages last month and eventually I got around to completing it yesterday.  After my whining last month about not going to Olympics, well my sister and I bought some tickets  three weeks ago for the mens gymnastics on Friday ... whooopee :)  Cost an arm and a leg 'cos there were only the most expensive one's left, but we both convinced each other it was worth it - a once in a lifetime opportunity !!!!  So this month is starting off quite well, and it's my birthday the following day, I'm losing a bit of weight so all is sunny in my garden.  Hope all is well with you xx

JULY... hello Olympics

Wishing I had tickets now ... collecting stickers instead - how sad is that?  I declined when I had the opportunity, deciding to dog sit instead.  Never mind, I will just have to be glued to the TV, with craft on my knee.  Well done if you got tickets - ENJOY x

June Complete

Well what a month June was.  I EVENTUALLY managed to see the Olympic torch, but not on my first outing ... it went by in a car !!!!! what a swiz :(  The following week it was 20 miles away, and their local council were better at advertising exactly what part of the route wasn't in convoy mode and could be seen.  Glad I made the effort - it's not gonna happen again in my lifetime.
TURNER, MONET & TWOMBLY at the TATE Liverpool.  We were invited to this new exhibition of their later works ... not keen on Twombly, but a great night out if you get the opportunity.
Today we have tried to garden and got rained off three times with torrential bursts ... WHERE OH WHERE IS OUR SUMMER ??????

JUBILEE JUNE

Jubilee is just around the corner and the garden is in full bloom...at least I can see the flowers now I've spent days gardening, getting rid of the weeds.  Why do they always grow bigger than everything else??? Well we have a fancy dress party to attend on the Queens birthday - the theme is kings and queens - inspired by our holiday, Tim is going as Elvis ... after all he is the KING (providing the wig turns up in the post tomorrow).  Enjoy your celebrations, whatever you are doing xx

Well we had a fabulous holiday...although we could do with another one to recover from it.  It was far too hot, but managed to bring some of the sunshine back with us to share with everyone, albeit a good 10 degrees cooler than New Orleans :)

Well just about... just to fill in today's.  At least the weather is brighter - something to bear in mind when I prepare backgrounds ... I think I may have 'forecast' all the rain :(   Summery, bright colours from now on
